We know how to look for areas that won't hold a tolerance or areas that are not moldable. If you need high tolerance, we know ways to assure that the shrinkage of the plastic material will not warp the part.

A common mistake is to design a part that cannot be molded. People that don't know plastics or the manufacturing of plastic parts might not know how to avoid this problem. We do.

Our engineers know what to ask to zero in on what is important on that part, what has to be there, what doesn't, and we will design it so that it can actually be built and perform in production environments.

These decisions need to be made at the part design phase to insure good moldability of the part and to insure that parts are manufactured in such a way that you are not paying more than you need to for what you are trying to achieve.

Tool Design

Tool design involves figuring out the best tooling approach to build the mold for a part. Tech-Way Industry works directly with tool shops so you don't have to. Our expert oversight and management of the process assures that the most cost-effective tool is built that will hold up for years and remain trouble free for years.

We Add Value. Our expertise can recommend a certain steel for the mold so that it will not wear. Our knowledge of plastics is valuable - some plastics are abrasive, some have a high degree of out-gassing wear. We know how to compensate in building the tool to minimize the effects of these and other problems associated with plastics parts.

Tool and Die Building

We have the tool and die building capability and expertise in-house. But when we don't have the capacity for your job, due to scheduling, or your job requires a specialized expertise, we have other resources available at our fingertips.

Located near Dayton, Ohio, we are in one of the major tool and die hubs with all the services you would need in close proximity to our manufacturing plant: plating, coating, raw material suppliers, component suppliers, and special processes.

We know all these people and work with them on a daily basis on first name basis. We will get your job done quickly and by the best method available.
